Overview
Housekeeper - Saturdays only role at Martin Dow Limited. This part-time weekend position is suitable for flexible weekend work or to earn extra alongside studies, family commitments or another job. The Ancillary Staff Team at Framland, a Christian residential care home for older people in Wantage, Oxford, welcomes you to apply.
Responsibilities
* Clean client rooms and common areas;
* Help to keep the home hygienic, fresh and tidy;
* Liaise with the Manager on cleaning schedules and cleaning material stock control;
* Receive/collect items for laundering including clothing, bedding, soft furnishings and household linens;
* Fold items correctly, distribute residents\' clothing and store linen and household items safely;
* Maintain the Laundry and linen stores in a safe, clean, tidy condition;
* Attend meetings and training activities including fire and evacuation procedures as required;
* Perform other duties assigned by your manager from time to time that are within your capabilities.
Induction and training: We offer a full induction to the work and provide other training as required by the post.
About You
* You enjoy working with older people and can show empathy;
* You can operate laundry equipment in a safe and reliable manner;
* You can work as part of a team to provide excellent service to residents;
* You are well-organised, practical and adaptable.
Hours and Shift
4 hours every Saturday plus bank shifts to cover holidays, sickness and absences.
Shift: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
