Salary: Up to £48,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Undertake intermediate problem solving typically based on previous experience
* Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages
* Lead a small non-complex project or a work package of a larger project
* Manage the full project lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved
* Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project
* Apply appropriate PM methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
* Agree project approach with stakeholders, and prepare realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and track activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate
* Consolidate expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives
* Support and promote the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation
Your skills and experiences:
* Comprehensive PM experience demonstrated in a professional capacity within a project
* Experience of influencing stakeholders, building relationships and negotiating outcomes with internal/external stakeholders
* Being from a Maritime/Defence industry would be beneficial
* Preferred not essential PM Qualification such as the APM ProjectManagementQualification or another appropriate PM professional body
* Ideally some exposure to Obsolescence management

The AM Obsolescence Management team:
The Obsolescence Management Team under Asset Management provide a service to our customers, to support them in managing their reactive, proactive and strategic approach to obsolescence. We are a growing team and as such there are significant opportunities for development within post. This role offers exposure to complex work packages across various classes of vessel and a number of stakeholders both internal and external to the business. You will be able to expand your networks within BAES and our customer communities, and will be delivering projects that are truly making a difference in the world of obsolescence.
