The Role:
Based at our Hemel Hempstead Centre of Excellence, with a hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in-office).
As Commercial & Programmes Controller, you will manage sales forecasting (Order Intake, Revenue & Margin) and programme accounting for NW Europe (UK, Ireland, Israel). This includes aligning forecasts with latest commercial data and explaining variances. The role involves forecasting revenue from equipment sales, ensuring IFRS15 compliance, and managing programme accounting balances.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining the 18-month rolling forecast for NW Europe.
* Updating forecasts based on developments in Programmes, Sales & Operations.
* Flagging issues and explaining forecast movements.
* Managing IFRS15 issues related to Programmes.
* Reviewing programme balances monthly and updating accruals.
* Preparing KPIs for Market Review and data for HQ.
* Supporting variance explanations for internal and external reporting.
* Supporting bids and tenders with financial modeling and pricing accuracy.
* Ensuring internal controls and policies are followed, recommending improvements.
* Leading revenue and order intake forecasting for strategic planning.
* Using LEAN tools to improve forecasting and budgeting efficiency.
* Monitoring SAP data accuracy and ensuring timely invoicing.
* Managing a team responsible for these tasks.
About You:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Experience with IFRS standards, especially IFRS15, and revenue recognition issues.
* Experience in sales forecasting and analysis.
* Commercially astute, experienced in international, matrix environments.
* Effective communicator with senior leadership.
* Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and Oracle EPBCS.
* Detailed knowledge of SAP programme accounting.
* Foreign language skills, especially Hebrew, are a plus.
