Shift Manager Job Ref No: WS/SM/11/25 Key Responsibilities: Monitor production processes to ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and quality control standards; Identify and resolve production issues promptly to maintain optimal efficiency and minimise downtime; Train and mentor new team members, ensuring they understand safety protocols, hygiene standards, and production techniques; Take ownership for achieving daily production targets, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring consistent product quality; Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement; Work closely with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Despatch teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations across all departments. The Person: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment; Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team; Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and product quality; Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced production setting; Good communication and collaboration skills, able to work closely with other departments. Preference will be given to candidates with: Experience implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices; Relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent); Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues.
