We are committed to supporting young people through challenging moments. Our team provides compassionate, responsive, and youth-centered support for individuals aged 11-17 experiencing emotional distress or mental health difficulties.
The Role
We seek an empathetic, resilient, and proactive Crisis Support Worker to support a vulnerable young person long-term. You will deliver high-quality, person-centered crisis interventions as part of a 24/7 support package in a solo provision.
You will work directly with young people in crisis, helping them feel heard, supported, and safe. This role is fast-paced, emotionally demanding, and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support Daily Living and Routines: Encourage engagement in routines and activities promoting stability and wellbeing. Organize activities and outings to support social development.
2. Provide Therapeutic Support and Guidance: Use evidence-based techniques to support recovery and resilience, prioritizing safety at all times.
3. Maintain Accurate Records: Document incidents and interventions in line with safeguarding and legal requirements.
4. Participate in Supervision and Training: Engage in supervision, reflective practice, and mandatory training.
5. Transport the Young Person: Ensure transportation to appointments and activities.
6. Work Collaboratively with Key Stakeholders: Liaise with external professionals to ensure coordinated care and escalation when needed.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience working with young people in crisis or with complex mental health needs.
* Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Belief that every young person deserves to feel safe, supported, and a sense of belonging.
* Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and at short notice.
* Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
* Experience in prison services, secure settings, hospitals, or relevant qualifications in mental health, youth work, social care, or psychology are a bonus.
