Key Accountabilities Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of financial forecasting, planning, and analysis frameworks, processes, and systems to embed best-in-class FP&A practices across the organisation Translate business and functional plans into integrated financial forecasts, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with internal policies and external regulatory requirements Develop and own detailed financial models covering revenue, OPEX, CAPEX, Cost of Sales (CoS), cash flow, and working capital, providing full transparency of drivers and assumptions Take a proactive role in cash flow forecasting and working capital management, including analysis of trends, risks, and opportunities to optimise liquidity and financial performance Provide high-quality financial insight and challenge to commercial and operational stakeholders, strengthening decision-making and ensuring financial implications are clearly understood Support commercial planning by providing robust financial input, ensuring risks are identified early and mitigation actions are built into forecasts Partner with the Director of Business Finance and senior stakeholders to analyse performance against plan, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities Actively manage financial risks, particularly around cash, cost control, and forecast accuracy, recommending and driving mitigation strategies Drive continuous improvement in FP&A capabilities, with a focus on enhancing forecasting accuracy, strengthening cash and working capital visibility, and embedding financial discipline across functions Skills & Capabilities Strong grounding in accounting principles and financial controls Deep expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, with a clear FP&A mindset Advanced capability in cash flow modelling and working capital analysis Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight High proficiency in financial systems, data, and reporting tools Strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and governance frameworks Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders effectively Knowledge & Experience Significant, hands-on FP&A experience in a large, complex, B2B organisation, with clear ownership of forecasting and planning cycles Proven track record of translating business strategy into integrated financial plans, including cash flow and working capital forecasting Demonstrable experience in building and improving financial models and FP&A frameworks Strong experience in cash flow management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimisation Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to drive performance, challenge assumptions, and improve financial outcomes Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to link operational drivers to financial performance Qualifications Fully qualified (or equivalent experience) in a recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is preferred Why Arqiva: We enable a switched-on world to flow.
