* Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with company objectives.
* Lead and manage the accounting and finance department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements.
* Develop and implement financial strategies to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
* Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management for decision‑making purposes.
* Manage cash flow, investments, and risk to ensure financial stability and growth.
* Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with operational strategies.
* Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and recommending actions for improvement.
* Ensure robust internal controls and implement best practices in financial management.
Profile
Essential
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
* Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within an SME or owner‑managed environment
* Strong experience in cashflow forecasting and working capital management
* Demonstrable experience improving processes, controls, and reporting
* Commercially astute with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
* Hands‑on, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, demanding environment
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
