Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will provide clinical and administrative support for dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare dental centres, enhancing force generation, operational capability and minimising dental morbidity on operations.
Job Responsibilities
* Ensure surgeries are prepared appropriately and patients are attended to in accordance with current regulations.
* Maintain the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation, reporting any deficiencies in accordance with local protocols.
* Provide chairside support to the operator for all operative procedures.
* Provide pre‑ and post‑operative advice to patients as required.

Registrations and Memberships
* Provide your membership registration number.
* Registered with the relevant professional body before submitting your application.
* Application will not progress without a valid registration number.
* Include details of any current, suspended or impending restrictions to practice.

Qualifications
* National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) qualified.
* GDC registration required before starting the post.
Health and Safety
Evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B is required; serology levels will be checked.
Employment Details
* Pay: £27,485 to £30,162 per year (pro‑rata for part‑time). Pay award pending.
* Annual pension scheme available.
* 6‑month probation period for new Civil Service employees.
* No relocation allowances.
* Visa sponsorship only for skilled worker visa under points‑based system – this role does not qualify for sponsorship.
* Subject to standard MOD security checks.
