Vacancy Description
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work:
* Developing the skills to maintain and optimise the baggage system’s performance.
* Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults.
* Supporting both reactive and planned maintenance tasks alongside experienced technicians.
* Learning how to use maintenance management systems like Maximo for logging work and reporting faults.
* Gaining experience with automated systems and working within a live airport environment.
What we expect from you:
* A 4 or above in both Maths and English or Functional Skills.
* The ability to complete a Level 3 Mechatronics apprenticeship, which will involve attending college.
* A willingness to work shifts, including nights, to gain real-world experience.
* A hands-on approach and eagerness to learn from experienced technicians.
* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
* The ability to follow safety procedures and work in a fast-paced environment.
