Overview

How would you like to work as part of a high performing Health Visiting Service in the beautiful county of Buckinghamshire? There is an exciting opportunity to join the Health Visiting team based in High Wycombe. We offer a supportive, stimulating and friendly environment that encourages learning and development. We support Champions in areas such as - Breastfeeding, Solihull Approach, Domestic Abuse, Perinatal Mental Health and CONI. The Health Visiting service has achieved BFI stage 3 accreditation and offers a high standard of breastfeeding support to families. Main duties of the job

* You will be leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme as part of a team that includes Community Staff Nurses and Community Nursery Nurses with support from experienced Locality Leads.

Qualifications

You must be a registered SCPHN (Health Visiting) with current NMC registration.

Person Specification

Special Circumstances – Essential: Ability to travel to various community sites daily

* Education, Qualifications & Training – Essential: RGN Level 1; Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Health Visiting - Cert/Diploma/Degree; Leadership training; Nurse Prescribing Qualification
* Skills, Abilities & Knowledge – Essential: Can demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills; Mentoring and supervision skills; Prioritisation of own and delegation of others work; Ability to write detailed reports on client care; Organisational and time management skills; Development / leadership of skill mix team; Works to evidence-based practice; Participates in interagency collaboration; Ability to motivate, negotiate and support others; Able to deal with sensitive and difficult situations; Able to manage self and others within the Team environment; Calm when under pressure
* Experience – Essential: Evidence of ongoing professional development; Working to scope of professional practice; Effective practice; Facilitation and presentation skills; Knowledge of current issues and impact on professional practice; Experience of Child Protection Policies and Procedures; Can demonstrate use of audit techniques
* Desirable – Experience of staff management within a skill mix team and delegation of tasks; Staff Appraisal training
