Wadswick Green is set in the stunning Wiltshire countryside. The Pavilion is located at the heart of the village and provides Village and Concierge Services, a pool, spa, gym and The Greenhouse Restaurant and Bar that serves owners, their families, visitors and members of the public.
We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our team as Head Chef. This is a 40hr per week role with evening work only on Fridays, Saturdays and monthly theme nights and is ideal for those looking for a work life balance with the ability to produce restuarant level food during both the daytime and evenings.
The Head Chef will ensure that all food preparation and dishes are not only in keeping with our brand - freshly prepared, locally sourced, rosette level menus - but also comply with food safety compliance and legislation. The role holder will be responsible for the recruitment, management, training, development and motivation of their teams within these areas. The Head Chef will be responsible for writing the menu at village level giving them the ability to showcase their talents.
Requirements
We would expect the successful candidate to have at least 3 years previous experience at a minimum level of Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef in a hotel, gastro pub/restaurant, where they have led a busy service, whilst holding responsibility for menu design and development, food preparation, food and allergy safety, managing a brigade, budgetary and stock control.

* Responsible for the Kitchen operation at all times
* To ensure that in the preparation and presentation of food, the highest standards are maintained at all times
* To constantly focus on guest care and service
* To be adaptable with continual changes to ensure that the menu is kept in line with customer demands and Company policies
* To ensure all dishes are prepared to specification and quality is upheld at all times
* To ensure that all work practices, appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations
* To deliver budgeted food GP %
Qualifications
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent Food Hygiene Certificate
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in a catering related subject
* Leadership/management training (Desirable)
* First aid (Desirable)
* COSHH (Desirable)

Working hours will be 40 hours per week, working daytime, evening and weekend shifts in line with the restaurant opening times.

Wed-Thurs: 12pm to 5pm, Last food order at 4.30pm
Fri-Sat: 12pm to 9pm, Last food order at 8.30pm
Sun: 12pm to 3pm, Last food order at 3pm (serving traditional Sunday lunch)
COFFEE SHOP
Open daily 9am to 7pm
The Greenhouse also provides Private Dining, Owners Events and Themed Evenings.
