Electrical Services Quantity Surveyor (QSEE) - Building Services
Location: Shrewsbury Head Office / Hybrid / Site Visits
Salary: Circa £55k to £63k package
This role will focus on preparing accurate, competitive electrical estimates for building services projects, supporting tenders from initial enquiry through to project handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed electrical take-offs from drawings and specifications
* Price labour, materials, and plant for tender submissions
* Build prelims, risk allowances, and value engineering options
* Issue RFQs and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations
* Support procurement of M&E subcontract packages
* Draft tender clarifications, assumptions, and exclusions
* Work closely with estimators, designers, and commercial teams
* Ensure compliance with BS7671, CIBSE and industry standards
Requirements
* 5+ years' experience in electrical estimating within building services
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems (LV distribution, lighting, containment, controls)
* Experience producing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
* HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering / Building Services preferred
* Willingness to attend client and project sites when required
