Leading established multi‑brand tour operator based in Gloucestershire is seeking a Product Manager specialising in the UK and Europe. The role requires a highly creative and commercially focused individual to develop and deliver unique, up‑to‑date products and itineraries that drive passenger and revenue growth across the product portfolio.
The position is hybrid and suitable for someone willing to relocate to work three days a week in the office, or to commute from locations such as Bristol, Birmingham, Swindon and Oxford.
Job Description
* Lead and develop mainstream & specialist product range from concept to delivery.
* Identify and fill market product gaps and trends; generate new tour ideas that grow passenger volumes, market share, and deliver excellent customer experience.
* Create and own product plans, targeting budgeted passenger volumes and ensuring sufficient stock.
* Plan to ensure products are contracted and ready in line with the launch schedule.
* Contract hotels and itineraries at best available prices, adding value where possible to maintain industry‑best retail prices.
* Work with copywriters to finalize tour copy for online and brochure channels.
* Coordinate with Product Admin Ops to ensure quality of information, planning, and delivery, including final sign‑off on customer and driver itineraries.
* Contribute actively to the product team and collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Commercial teams for optimal product success.
* Participate in the Saturday and Product Duty Officer rota, and occasionally support on‑site customer delivery during events.
* Attend trade events and network with external bodies to promote brands and source future product opportunities.
* Cultivate strong supplier relationships to secure optimal space at competitive prices.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate is proactive, uses initiative and problem‑solving skills to identify product gaps and opportunities for growth. They are not afraid to challenge and demonstrate excellent communication and relationship skills while remaining collaborative. A forward‑thinking mindset and experience in the travel industry, especially with contracting UK and European suppliers, is highly desirable.
