Overview
We are seeking Occupational Therapists with experience of complex adaptations and manual handling within a through-age team. There is potential to develop or use existing knowledge of paediatrics.
Responsibilities
* Complex case management with long-term and chronic conditions.
* Manual handling assessment and provision of associated plans.
* Postural assessment and provision of specialist seating and wheelchair prescription.
* Comprehensive knowledge and skill relating to complex manual handling equipment and disability aids.
* Environmental adaptations and ability to identify eligible need.
* Proven record of assessment, recommendation and planning urgent minor and complex major adaptations (stair lifts, fixed hoist systems, shower / bathing facilities etc).
* Supervision and support of junior OTs and OTAs.
* Proven ability in carrying a complex community caseload autonomously.
* Excellent clinical recording and organisation skills.
* Time expectations: travel within Ceredigion across the whole county, carrying out assessments in people\'s homes. Use of a car is essential.

* Office bases are located in Aberaeron and Aberystwyth; travel within the whole county is expected.
* IT competence; prioritisation of own case load; ability to work within established management structure; through-age service model.
