The role:
This isn’t your average admin job. As our Administrator, you will sit at the crucial intersection of two of our most vital directorates: Information Technology Services (ITS) and Academic and Student Administration (ASA). Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will be the go-to person helping these professional services thrive. You’ll be the bridge between budget holders, internal departments, and external partners, ensuring our systems run like clockwork.
What you'll be doing:
* Delivering high-standard, proactive administrative support to ensure stakeholders and team members have exactly what they need.
* Assisting teams across both directorates in securing specialised, non-standard IT and admin equipment and maintaining regular contact with university budget holders.
* Lending your organizational magic to coordinate and deliver exciting events, trips, and ad-hoc operational projects.
* Administering key meetings, drafting concise minutes from complex discussions, and ensuring compliance with university procedures.
Who we are looking for:
You are an organised, detail-oriented professional who loves solving problems and working with people. You don't just complete tasks; you look for ways to make processes smoother and more efficient.
What you bring to the table:
* Strong experience working in an office environment, ideally with experience using databases and office software. (HE experience is a bonus, but not essential!).
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders and draft clear, concise meeting minutes.
* A meticulous approach to your work - you spot the things others miss and take pride in precise documentation.
* You collaborate effortlessly to achieve team goals, but you’re equally comfortable taking the initiative and working independently.
