SEN Assistant Tribunal Officer - Education

Pay Rate: £18.35 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Contract length: This opening assignment is for 3 months

In order to apply for this role you will have previous experience in SEN, education, legal administration, or casework.
The role:
* Provide high-quality administrative and casework support to SEN Mediation and Tribunal Officers
* Help prepare documentation, evidence bundles, and case papers for mediation sessions and SEND Tribunal hearings.
* Maintain accurate case records, ensuring all information is up to date, well-organised, and compliant with statutory deadlines.
* Communicate professionally with families, schools, local authority teams, legal representatives, and external agencies.
* Assist in coordinating meetings, scheduling mediation sessions, and monitoring case progress.
* Support the team in managing workflow, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely responses to enquiries.
* Contribute to improving processes and supporting best practice within the SEN Tribunal and Mediation team.
Key requirements:
* Experience in SEN, education, legal administration, or casework
* Substantially developed reporting and writing skills
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and unsupervised to tight deadlines using own initiative, whilst managing conflicting priorities
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confidence in handling sensitive information and working with complex documentation
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* The ability to work calmly under pressure and meet statutory deadlines
* A commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND
