Entry-Level Role
12-Month Temporary Contract (Maternity Cover)
Purpose of the Role
MPA are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Assistant to join a well established organisation based in Enniskillen. This entry-level role plays a key part in delivering accurate reporting and insightful analysis to support the Site and Chilled Meals strategy. You will take ownership of Cost of Sales and Overheads reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, Pilgrim’s Europe standards, and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly journals and provide performance insights to support site decision-making.
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations and contribute to monthly review meetings, highlighting risks and opportunities.
* Deliver accurate Cost of Sales reporting and conduct variance analysis against budget and forecast, clearly communicating outcomes to site management.
* Produce and analyse weekly Yield and Product Price Variance reports.
* Reconcile reports to the General Ledger, including GRIR accounts and supplier statements.
* Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and year-end accounts.
* Generate daily and weekly labour performance KPIs.
* Actively participate in continuous improvement projects across the site.
* Ensure adherence to statutory and internal reporting standards.
* Maintain strong internal controls to mitigate business risk.
* Carry out ad-hoc tasks as required by the Site and Central Finance teams.
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong analytical and numerical abilities, ideally with some management accounting exposure (experience in FMCG is an advantage).
* Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is beneficial.
* Results-focused with excellent attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
* Effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across a matrix organisation.
* Proven ability to meet weekly deadlines and deliver high-quality KPIs.
* A strong interest in developing a long-term career in Finance.
