Model Making CAD Support | North London | Full Time | £28,000 - £40,000 per annum
Our client is a North London–based architectural modelmaking studio where craftsmanship, precision, and creativity meet cutting-edge technology. The studio works across a wide range of projects — from large-scale marketing models to finely detailed interior pieces — always striving for the highest quality.
Are you the right person for the job?
Proficient in CAD software — experience with Rhino is essential (ideally to an expert level), with AutoCAD and Revit also beneficial
Highly experienced in 3D modelling and preparing files for CNC, laser cutting, and 3D printing
Strong understanding of architectural drawings, scales, and model construction techniques
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work to deadlines
Experience in an architectural modelmaking environment is advantageous
Methodical, precise, and passionate about translating digital designs into physical models
A creative, hands-on team player who thrives in a busy studio environment
Used to managing a varied workload with simultaneous project requirements
What will your role look like?
Prepare and refine CAD files for laser cutting, CNC, 3D printing, and other fabrication processes
Translate architectural drawings, sketches, and 3D models into files suitable for physical model production
Collaborate with model makers to troubleshoot and optimise files for fabrication
Create detailed model kits from architectural drawings and 3D models
Support prototyping, experimenting with materials, and testing fabrication methods
Maintain clear, organised, and efficient CAD file structures
