Coxlease School, located in the heart of the New Forest in Lyndhurst, is a specialised independent school for children aged 9 to 18 with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and other related conditions/needs. With a highly experienced team of staff and therapists, Coxlease School provides a nurturing and supportive environment where students can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The role of the Therapy Assistant/ELSA is to work within the Therapy Team to support our learners to achieve their outcomes in line with their ECHP.
Duties may include:
9. Assisting trained clinicians with the preparation, planning and delivery of group and one-to-one occupational therapeutic and recreational activities
10. Observing recording and reporting to the assigned clinician as appropriate
11. Managing a caseload of students
12. planning, running, and recording 1:1 and group therapy sessions
13. Assists with the assessment and transition of new learners ensuring they are familiar with the environment
14. Creation of initial supporting documentation
15. Ensures the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records, case files
