The Role
The post holder will play a key role in developing and coordinating delivery of gambling harms prevention and early intervention. The role supports workforce capacity building, strengthens support pathways and embeds gambling harm awareness within existing services and communities. It contributes to tackling inequalities, reducing stigma and supporting people and communities affected by gambling harms.
Duration, Location and Working Pattern
* Fixed‑term post of 3 years
* Working 36 hours per week
* Location: Kirkintilloch Health & Care Centre
* Shift pattern to be confirmed
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, develop and implement health improvement work streams aligned with national, regional and local strategies, ensuring they are inequalities sensitive and evidence‑based.
* Support and develop partnerships to secure sustainable funding for existing and new health improvement initiatives, and ensure appropriate implementation and monitoring systems are in place.
* Deliver senior health improvement work streams in partnership with others, chairing meetings, participating in relevant forums and committees, and managing risk.
* Contribute to the design and development of health improvement policy, practice implementation and capacity building across local, regional and national settings.
* Deliver specific aspects of research programmes within the Health Improvement plan and disseminate research and evaluation findings to inform evidence‑based practice.
