Salary: Up to £45,000

Role Description
I’m working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Witham that is looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Senior to support the continued growth of their audit team.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead assignments and play an active role in mentoring junior staff members. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of clients while working closely with Managers and Partners on both audit and accounts engagements.

What you’ll do
* Manage audit and accounts assignments from planning through to completion.
* Prepare and review statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP requirements.
* Undertake complex audit testing and ensure sufficient audit evidence is obtained.
* Prepare and review management accounts and corporation tax computations.
* Review the work of trainees and junior staff members, providing feedback and support.
* Identify areas for improvement within client accounting systems and processes.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
* Ensure assignments are completed efficiently and within deadlines.
What you’ll need
* ACA or ACCA qualified or finalist level
* At least 4 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
* Strong knowledge of audit and accounting standards
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
