IT Support Technician
1. Salary: £30,438 to £32,292 per annum
2. Hours: 37 hours per week
3. Location: Wakefield College
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our fantastic IT Services team at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group.
In this hands-on role, you will help staff and students get the most from their technology - resolving day-to-day issues, setting up and maintaining equipment, and keeping our services running smoothly. You will work in a modern Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 environment, with the backing of experienced colleagues who will support you to build confidence and grow your skills.
You will:
4. Provide first-line support by picking up helpdesk requests and working through them promptly, helping to minimise disruption for staff and students.
5. Build, configure and deploy PCs, laptops, tablets, phones and peripherals, following internal processes and security standards.
6. Keep our IT equipment in great shape through routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and swapping parts where needed.
We’re looking for someone who:
7. Holds GCSEs in English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
8. Hold a Level 3 or higher ICT qualification, or have equivalent experience
9. Has a foundation of IT knowledge, gained through formal learning or equivalent practical learning
