About the Role
As a Deputy Depot Manager, you'll play a crucial role in managing one of our shift operations in the depot. Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, you'll ensure the accurate and timely delivery of newspapers and magazines to our retailers.
This dynamic and challenging position within our management team will involve:
* Supervising all staff, providing training and coaching, and identifying training needs.
* Generating accurate reports that highlight challenges and successes.
* Collaborating closely with the management team to identify potential risks.
* Maintaining a high level of health and safety at all times.
* Ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy.
* Working within an annual budget and forecast.

About You
We're looking for someone with a proven track record in a warehouse management role. You should be able to demonstrate:
* Experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to manage a large operation and liaise effectively at all levels.
* Outstanding communication skills and the credibility to build strong relationships with team members and management.
* Experience in planning and executing night operations, addressing challenges as they arise.
* Tenacity and a results-driven approach to exceeding targets and delivering an exceptional client experience.
* Computer literacy and confidence in using technology and IT systems, particularly MS Office.
* Excellent business acumen with strong commercial and financial awareness.
