Responsibilities
* Be a polite and helpful first point of contact for patients, staff, and visitors to the Therapies Department at Weymouth Community Hospital and the Outpatient Therapies Centre in Charlton Down.
* Make patient appointments and deal with enquiries from patients, staff and visitors by telephone, email, and face to face.
* Accurately send and receive electronic data using hospital systems such as PAS and DPR.
* Work closely with the therapies administration team to ensure delivery of a high quality service and utilise good secretarial, clerical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Location & Departments
The Therapies department is split between three sites within Dorchester, Weymouth and Charlton Down, providing clinical appointments, classes, and gym groups.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Educational: 4x GCSE Level C or equivalent including English and Maths.
* Knowledge & Experience: Experience in a person-facing role; ability to work collaboratively with others; experience of using own initiative.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Knowledge/experience in relevant subject areas; awareness of clinical governance and its implications for Therapy; previous experience in an administrative post; base knowledge of conditions and clinical pathways.
Skills & Abilities
* Willingness and ability to undertake training; clear communication with patients, carers, health professionals, and team; positive interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team; good time management; clear written and verbal English; IT skills including hospital databases, word processing and email; ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment; empathy and fairness; confidentiality.

* Flexibility, reliability, initiative; ability to work across sites; physically fit to comply with moving/handling guidelines; professional manner and appearance; car driver; interest in self-motivation (desirable).
Contract & Role Details
* Pay: £24,937 to £26,598 per annum (Agenda for Change, Band 3)
* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full-time, Part-time, Job share
