Detailed job description and main responsibilities You will be part of a busy and friendly team, working closely with consultants, nursing staff, clinical teams, managers, and administrative colleagues across the specialty to ensure the smooth and efficient running of services. The role involves managing and maintaining waiting lists, booking chemotherapy and day case treatments, coordinating patient admissions, and ensuring accurate and timely data entry on Trust systems such as Nervecentre and Bookwise, in line with Trust Access and RTT policies. Please see job description Person specification Training & Qualifications Essential criteria GCSE Maths and English ( Grade 4/C or above Functional Skills Level 2 Desirable criteria ECDL Qualification Experience Essential criteria Experience of working in a busy office or administrative environment, managing a varied workload and meeting deadlines Experience of using Microsoft Office applications Experience of handling confidential information in line with organisational policies and maintaining high standards of data accuracy. Desirable criteria Experience in a customer Service environment Recent Recent NHS experience Communication and relationship Essential criteria Ability to contribute to team working and to develop good working relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and courteous manner Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when handling sensitive issues. Analytical and Judgement Skills Essential criteria Able to prioritise workload effectively based on urgency and importance, ensuring time-critical tasks are completed promptly Demonstrates sound judgement when managing competing demands, adjusting priorities to maintain service delivery. Maintains organisation and focus in a busy environment, ensuring both urgent and routine work are managed efficiently. Planning and Organisation Skills Essential criteria Works within prescribed deadlines Consistently works to high standards Ability to organise own work schedule Physical Skills Essential criteria To be able to carry out light physical duties safely, including moving files, organising records.
