An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join our vibrant school and contribute to the teaching and research portfolio of the School of Applied Sciences, University of Brighton, on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
The post-holder will join a vibrant, enthusiastic, inclusive and multi-disciplinary team committed to providing high-quality education to our students. We inspire the next generation of pharmacy graduates by adopting innovative approaches to clinical teaching, informed by research, to develop inquisitive thinkers capable of effective decision-making.
Our team delivers clinical teaching to undergraduate students on our patient-centred, case-based MPharm degree and runs several post-graduate courses including OSPAP and Independent Prescribing. We lead interprofessional teaching with the Brighton and Sussex Medical School and maintain strong research and teaching links with the pharmacy teams at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust and other local trusts and community pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities
* A proven track record in providing high quality clinical care
* Experience of teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students
* Be registered with or registerable with The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or The Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI)
* A relevant degree in Pharmacy (or non-UK equivalent)
