Job Advert: Cleaner – Residential Care Home Location: Residential Care Home Hours: 10 hours per week (Monday & Friday, 09:00–14:00) Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role We are looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This is a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of everyone in our care home. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize communal areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and staff facilities. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and carpets regularly. Empty bins and dispose of waste safely, following infection control procedures. Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as needed. Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment faults. Follow COSHH regulations when handling cleaning chemicals. Maintain high hygiene standards to prevent infection spread. What We’re Looking For Previous cleaning experience (preferably in a care setting) is desirable. Knowledge of infection control and health & safety practices. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good communication skills and a respectful attitude towards residents.
