Technician in Equine (on-site)
Starting salary: £26,310 per annum. 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Location: Suffolk Rural (Otley).
Passionate about horses? Skilled in equine care? Join our team as an enthusiastic Equine Technician to help deliver outstanding care for our horses and support practical learning experiences for our students. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional day‑to‑day care and welfare for our horses.
* Prepare workspaces and equipment for practical lessons on the yard.
* Support staff and students during teaching sessions, sharing your technical knowledge and expertise.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized environment in line with health and safety standards.
Qualifications & Preferences
* A strong commitment to animal welfare and equine husbandry.
* Practical experience working with horses in a professional setting.
* A good understanding of health and safety (training provided in areas such as first aid and fire marshalling).
* A proactive, team‑focused attitude and willingness to support learners.
Working days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Occasionally you may be required to travel between sites.
