Fixed Term Night Nurse at Burleys Wood
Salary: £23.18 - £24.32 per hour
Hours: 36.75 hours per week
Contract: Maternity Cover for an initial 6-month period, with possibility of extension
Shift Times: Working on 4 weekly rota, 12 hour night shifts (20:00-08:00) including alternative weekends
Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Nurse who is ready to make a positive impact at Burleys Wood, a modern care home providing elderly frail nursing and residential dementia care. We have 60 single ensuite bedrooms divided into 6 separate self-contained units, each with its own lounge/dining area.

Job Responsibilities
* Assessing patients' health and care needs and developing care plans
* Administering medication and monitoring service users' responses
* Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
* Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care
* Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
* Providing emotional support to service users and their familiesMaintaining accurate and up-to-date records
* Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
* Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
* Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members
Qualifications And Experience
* NMC Registered Nurse
* Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions
* Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Ability to work independently and use own initiative
* Commitment to continuing professional development
