Are you an experienced educator with a passion for supporting learners with additional needs? We’re looking for skilled and compassionate Tutors to provide personalised support to young people from Primary through to Post-16.
Our learners benefit from bespoke one-to-one sessions in English and Maths, designed to meet their individual needs. Many of the young people we support face a range of challenges, including:
1. Special Educational Needs (SEN)
2. Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
3. Autism (ASD), ADHD, PDA
4. Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
5. Global Learning Delay
6. Trauma and medical conditions
This role offers flexibility, with opportunities to work part-time or full-time during school hours (Monday to Friday) or after school hours.
As a Tutor, you will:
7. Deliver engaging, tailored English and Maths sessions.
8. Support learners with a wide variety of needs and abilities.
9. Plan and adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and goals.
10. Build positive relationships with learners and their support networks.
11. Maintain professional standards and safeguarding responsibilities.

12. You have experience working with learners who have SEN and complex needs.
13. You’re confident in planning and delivering personalised educational sessions.
14. You’re flexible, empathetic, and committed to inclusive learning.
15. You’re reliable, professional, and passionate about helping young people succeed.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
16. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Experience of working with learners with SEN
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
17. Hold right to work in the UK
18. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
19. Provide references upon request
20. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
