About Us
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Finance service for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Financial Systems Officer.
This role offers the chance to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative improvements in the Council’s integrated financial system. You will play a key part in ensuring the most efficient and effective use of Business World (Unit4 ERP) and its supporting processes.
We are looking for someone with the right skills and experience, who is motivated and passionate about driving transformational change. If you have a strong customer focus and a proven track record in designing and delivering system-based improvements, we would love to hear from you.
Key Requirements:
* Demonstrable experience in developing, enhancing, and implementing integrated financial systems.
* A solid understanding of financial operations within Local Government.
* Confidence, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support and demonstrate progress on Business World system issues and queries, including functional configuration, technical programming, report writing, and data/report maintenance.
* Collaborate with the team to deliver technical system work required to implement, develop, and maintain the Council’s main financial accounting system.
* Offer consultancy support to various workstreams and officers across all levels.
* Apply relevant Council policies, participate in Council-wide projects, and maintain system integrity.
* Liaise with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance with best practices and audit standards.
