What We Are Looking For
We are on the lookout for a passionate Finance Manager to join our dynamic team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and mentoring our Fostering Management Accounts Team, ensuring a robust control environment while maintaining the integrity of our financial accounts and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop trainee management accountants, fostering their professional growth.
* Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with the month-end timetable.
* Build effective relationships with operational partners by providing accurate and timely financial information.
* Deliver high-quality financial commentary to the Senior Management Team.
* Maintain balance sheet integrity in line with reconciliation policies, addressing risks and issues proactively.
* Prepare monthly reports on balance sheet movements.
* Ensure a strong control environment by collaborating with the business to uphold policies and procedures.
* Support tax and statutory reporting to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
About You
* A relevant professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).
* Strong technical accounting knowledge.
* A confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Experience in maintaining a robust financial control environment.
* Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights.
* Previous leadership or people development experience.
