Salary: £66,000 - 77,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a senior Solution Architect with at least 5 years of experience. We require hands-on knowledge of IBM Cognos Controller. We need strong understanding of financial consolidation processes, including group reporting, intercompany eliminations, currency translation, statutory reporting, and management reporting. We require proven ability to design integrations between consolidation platforms and enterprise systems. We need experience working directly with finance stakeholders and translating accounting requirements into technical solutions. We require excellent communication and documentation skills. You must be eligible to work in the UK and able to attend our Reading office two days per week. Desirable experience includes IBM Cognos Analytics, TM1, or Planning Analytics. A background in finance, accounting, or FP&A environments is desirable. Experience with cloud or hybrid deployments is desirable. Relevant architecture certifications such as TOGAF are desirable. Responsibilities: We own the end-to-end solution architecture for finance consolidation and group reporting platforms. We design and configure IBM Cognos Controller to support statutory and management consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation. We translate business and finance requirements into clear technical designs, integration patterns, and data flows. We define integration between Cognos Controller and upstream and downstream systems such as ERP, GL, data warehouse, and reporting tools. We provide technical leadership and guidance to developers, analysts, and finance teams throughout delivery. We produce architecture documentation, solution blueprints, and design decision records. We identify and mitigate technical risks and ensure solutions meet performance, security, and governance standards. We support testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
