Overview
Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer required to join a leading engineering supplier. The Successful candidate will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on compressed air equipment including compressors, and compressed air filtration products at customer sites across the Midlands with occasional travel across the UK. Full product training provided.
Responsibilities
* Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
* Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, perform fault finding on compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products.
* Install compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into manufacturing environments.
* Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
* Liaise with various engineering departments and work at customer sites throughout the Midlands with occasional travel across the UK.
Requirements
* Willingness to learn complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
* Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar.
* Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains with a willingness to learn.
* Strong understanding of three-phase electrics and controls; hands-on experience preferred.
* Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or similar would be a plus.
* Determination to learn the compressed air industry and related fields with enthusiasm for career progression opportunities.
* Flexibility to travel across the Midlands, and UK wide when required.

* Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 depending on experience
