Working closely with our Senior Sous Chef, youll play a key role in the day-to-day running of a high-volume brunch venue while also gaining valuable exposure to the bakery side of the business. What Youll Be Doing Assisting the Senior Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
Preparing and cooking brunch menu items to a consistently high standard
Supporting ordering, stock rotation, and inventory management
Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health, and safety standards
Supervising and supporting junior chefs and kitchen porters
Ensuring all kitchen sections remain clean, organised, and service-ready
Monitoring food quality, presentation, and portion control
Assisting with prep schedules and smooth service coordination during busy periods
Contributing ideas for seasonal specials and menu development
Helping minimise waste and maintain cost control targets
Stepping into leadership responsibilities in the absence of senior chefs
Learning and supporting the bakery side of the kitchen operation
What Were Looking For Our ideal candidate will:
Have previous restaurant and café experience within a busy kitchen
Be confident running a high-volume brunch service
Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
Have a genuine passion for food, hospitality, and seasonal ingredients
Understand food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
Work well under pressure while maintaining high standards
Be organised, proactive, and team-oriented
Bring energy, creativity, and a positive attitude to every shift
