Workshop Supervisor - Support Rehabilitation Through Skills & Purpose
Location: YO41
Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Working in prison education isn't just about overseeing tasks - it's about giving people another chance. As a Workshop Supervisor, you'll be using practical, hands-on learning to help individuals gain skills, build confidence, and start over.
You'll play a key role in the rehabilitation journey - not just by supervising workshop activities, but by fostering structure, routine, and self-belief. For many learners, you'll be the person who first shows them what they're capable of.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Supervising and supporting learners in a structured workshop environment
* Teaching practical skills that relate to employability, teamwork and routine
* Encouraging pride, ownership, and progress in everyday tasks
* Monitoring attendance, engagement, and skill development
* Maintaining a safe, positive and purposeful working environment
* Helping learners set goals, learn accountability, and find motivation
Working Hours:
Who You Are:
* Skilled in supervising practical, hands-on activities - from warehousing to assembly to maintenance
* A strong communicator who can lead, motivate, and support individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Calm, resilient and empathetic - even under pressure
* Someone who believes in second chances and the power of purposeful work
* A qualified teacher at Level 5 (or willing to train), with at least Level 2 in English and Maths
