A UCAS Test Engineer plays a crucial role within one or more product development teams, delivering value rapidly and frequently to our customers. They are responsible for analyzing, creating, and executing manual and automated functional and non-functional tests within an Agile testing framework.
The Test Engineer maintains a technical understanding of UCAS products, providing technical testing expertise throughout development cycles. They also offer flexible support to other teams as needed. The role emphasizes test automation orchestrated through the CI/CD pipeline to ensure consistent and efficient technical assurance of UCAS products and services, complemented by manual and exploratory testing.
The tech stack varies across teams but typically includes .Net, AWS, Java, Angular, Salesforce, and React Native.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Collaborate with Product Owners and Software Engineers to define entry and exit criteria at each SDLC stage.
2. Analyze feature acceptance criteria and develop high-level test approaches aligned with the QA strategy to ensure the Definition of Done is achieved.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
* At least 2 years of industry experience, including 1 year in an Agile environment.
* Experience testing at component, integration, system, and acceptance levels, with automated testing using Java, C# .NET, and Selenium.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to discuss technical issues with development teams and stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Cloud Computing (e.g., AWS, Salesforce).
* Familiarity with API testing techniques.
* Experience with mobile app testing techniques.
