Position Details
The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Please note, the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Orthoptist to join the Orthoptic Clyde team as a Band 7 Highly Specialist Orthoptist on a permanent basis.
Work Location and Travel
This is a part-time position, 29.7 hours per week, based at the RAH in Paisley. The role covers the Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, VOL, and Argyll & Bute areas. The post may require travel to these locations for clinics, including overnight stays.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide highly specialist Orthoptic assessments and treatments autonomously.
* Manage a specialist caseload and serve as an expert resource for Orthoptic staff and the multidisciplinary team.
* Work with stroke patients, motility patients, pediatric patients, and students.
* Assist the Head Orthoptist with management, professional leadership, and governance of the Orthoptic service.
* Oversee the safe and effective operational management and clinical delivery of services in both acute and community settings.
