Credit Control & Sales Ledger (Primary Focus)
· Raise, distribute, and maintain accurate sales invoices.
· Confirm customer orders once internally approved, ensuring correct documentation and billing.
· Take full ownership of credit control, including proactive customer contact, dispute resolution, and escalating concerns where necessary.
· Maintain and review the Aged Debt report, ensuring all accounts are up to date and reconciled.
· Monitor customer credit limits, payment patterns, and risk indicators, recommending adjustments where appropriate.
· Collaborate closely with the Sales Team and Project Managers to resolve queries and ensure timely cash collection.
· Drive improvements in credit control processes to increase efficiency, reduce overdue debt, and strengthen internal controls.
Purchase Ledger (cover and support)
· Expenses management
· Process, match, and code purchase invoices, resolving discrepancies with suppliers and buyers.
· Allocate supplier payments accurately and maintain up-to-date creditor records.
· Ensure invoices are correctly authorised and compliant with internal controls.
· Reconcile supplier accounts and prepare BACS and ad-hoc payments.
Person Specification:
* Numerate Computer literate - Excel and Outlook
* Methodical and have a high degree of accuracy
* Minimum 2+ years in a finance team
* Able to use own initiative
* A friendly and flexible, team player attitude
* A professional telephone manner
* Excellent attention to detail
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
This role is hybrid working 3-4 days a week from the office and 1-2 from home after the initial induction period. It is essential that you can commute to the office based in Milton Keynes.
This role is paying between £30,000-£35,000 p/a depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
