Key Responsibilities
* Provide accurate interpretation (consecutive, simultaneous, liaison)
* Deliver professional translation of documents and materials
* Maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and accuracy
* Attend in‑person or remote assignments via phone/video
* Prepare for assignments with relevant terminology
* Meet deadlines and communicate effectively with coordination teams
Professional Standards
* Confidentiality in handling all client information
* Impartial and neutral communication
* High level of accuracy without omission
* Punctuality for all assignments
* Adherence to professional bodies like CIOL or NRPSI
Skills & Qualifications
* Fluency in English and at least one other language
* Qualification in interpreting, translation, or linguistics
* Proven professional experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage schedules
Desirable Skills
* Experience in healthcare, legal, or business interpreting
* Remote interpreting experience (video/telephone)
* Valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
* Membership in professional bodies (NRPSI, CIOL, ITI, ASLI) – not a deal breaker
