We are currently supporting a specialist technical consultancy in their search for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing Central Government team.

Work from home or from one of six UK office hubs (including Bristol, Cheltenham, and London).
Bi‑weekly travel to London required to meet with customers.
🔧 The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and evolving secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure.
* Deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters (Docker, Helm).
* Developing automated tools and processes for deployment, monitoring, testing, and maintenance.
* Creating and maintaining security, compliance, and disaster recovery procedures.
* Optimising systems for high availability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
* Monitoring and improving infrastructure/application performance.
* Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure/application issues.
* Mentoring junior DevOps engineers.
🎯 About You
We’re looking for an experienced engineer with a passion for cloud technologies and automation, and who thrives in a collaborative, problem‑solving environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
* Configuration Management & Automation expertise.
* Containers & orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm).
* Observability tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana.
* Basic programming skills (any language).
* CI / CD pipeline development and management experience.
Eligibility Requirement
You must be a British citizen who has lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years to qualify for high‑level security clearance.
