About the role
We are looking to appoint a Design Manager to support major programmes across the Midlands. This role can be based from our offices in Birmingham, Derby or Redditch. It offers hybrid working with a great work-life balance.
Responsibilities
* Lead a talented team to deliver impactful water projects, from initial concept to detailed design.
* Work on award‑winning initiatives across clean water, wastewater, flood risk, and urban drainage.
* Influence the future of the industry by partnering with major clients across the UK.
* Oversee all aspects of delivery, including design & build projects, detailed design delivery, and owners engineer services.
* Plan and lead the technical delivery of projects, collaborating closely with clients and guiding a multidisciplinary team.
What We’re Looking For
* Experienced engineer with strong technical expertise in civil, mechanical, electrical, process, or other relevant disciplines.
* Ideally chartered with a relevant engineering institution; support can be provided to achieve this.
* Demonstrable experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and multiple projects and stakeholders, with major project experience highly desirable.
