Taylor Woodrow, a leading infrastructure and civil engineering specialist, is seeking a Site Engineer to join a £13 million highways project in South London.
This exciting project encompasses resurfacing, kerbing, paving, drainage, footways, roads, and public realm works. The successful candidate will be supported by a Senior Engineer on site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform core site engineering duties, including accurate setting out of works using engineering drawings, specifications, and control points.
* Deliver key elements of external civil works, including pavement construction, road surfacing, kerb laying, and drainage installation, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards.
* Operate Leica TS16 Total Station and GPS surveying equipment to capture precise spatial data and support high-accuracy construction.
* Coordinate daily site operations with subcontractors and site teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
* Manage assigned tasks throughout the full project cycle, from site setup to final handover, upholding high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
* Interpret and implement technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure safe and effective on-site execution.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civils or highways schemes.
* HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering is desirable.
