What are we looking for? Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy Team with a competitive salary range on offer, depending on experience. This is a full time, permanent role with the following shift patterns:
Monday-Friday
0800-1600 or 1000-1800
Weekend overtime would be given as TOIL

As an autonomous practitioner within a multidisciplinary team, the Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist will assess, treat and manage their own caseload through the Occupational Therapy process. This role, with support from the clinical lead will manage and lead the acute Occupational Therapy service which covers neuro outliers, surgical wards and critical care. This role will report directly to the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist and be part of a highly innovative, evidence based, forward thinking neuroscience's therapy team. With support from the Rehabilitation Services Manager and Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, this role will develop and progress education and research within occupational therapy. The role will motivate, empower, coach and develop team members through supervision frameworks. The role will have line management responsibility for therapy Caregivers within the occupational therapy team including annual appraisal duties.
What will your duties include? Assist in operational management and deliver occupational therapy with advanced assessment, management and clinical reasoning to neurosciences patients, including linking in with the wider MDT Provide and act as a source of clinical expertise in the occupational therapy management of neurological patients to MDT, deputising for occupational leads as required Educate and train occupational therapists and other MDT members with innovation and passion around neurological care, the role of occupational therapy and rehabilitation. Assist in identification, mitigation and management of risks as part of clinical governance Provide highly supportive supervision and coaching to other therapists
What we need from you? Degree in relevant AHP area - required Post-graduation experience and education and training in neurorehabilitation and neurosurgery. (eg: formal FES training, cognitive rehab, vocational rehab, splinting) - required Evidence of training / experience in appraisal, supervision of therapists/students - required Evidence of continuous professional / academic development relevant to clinical field - required Current registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) - required
