Responsibilities
At GSF Car Parts the Retail Assistant role is all‑encompassing, focused on delivering excellent customer service. You will play a crucial part in helping the branch achieve targets through face‑to‑face sales, servicing click‑and‑collect orders and building strong customer relationships.
* Serve trade and retail customers for click‑and‑collect and general orders while maximising sales.
* Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders.
* Assist the sales team with product promotion sales by answering telephone and electronic queries.
* Fully satisfy customer needs regarding part orders, returns, or any other queries.
* Check customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
* Contribute to a positive team performance and work on personal benchmarks to optimise performance.
* Utilise the e‑learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
* Ensure that customer‑facing areas of the branch are kept clean and tidy.
* Develop strong working relationships with customers and understand their garage needs.
* Always promote a positive image of the company by representing our values and maintaining a professional appearance.
* Always work towards the achievement of relevant set KPI’s.
Working hours
45 (average) hours per week, Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.
About You
* Proven customer service or sales/retail experience within a customer‑facing role.
* Target driven and motivated to achieve results.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to adopt a positive approach to customer queries, proactively seeking resolutions.
* Confident user of IT and computer systems.
* Ability to work well with others.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Knowledge of car parts or the automotive industry would be advantageous but not essential.
* Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.
