What it's like to work here You’ll be reporting to the Senior Visitor Experience Officer, working in the Visitor Experience team at Lyveden. Set in the heart of rural Northamptonshire, Lyveden is a remarkable survivor of the Elizabethan age. Begun by Sir Thomas Tresham to symbolise his Catholic faith, Lyveden remains incomplete and virtually unaltered since work stopped on his death in 1605. There are tranquil moats, viewing terraces and an Elizabethan orchard to explore, as well as an enigmatic garden lodge covered in religious symbols. The full extent of Sir Thomas's symbolic design remains unexplained to this day. Click here for more information about this location. What you'll be doing As Visitor Experience Officer, your main focus will be on providing a great service for visitors. You’ll be engaging diverse audiences and inspiring them to really get to know Lyveden. This might include devising and running events and activities, and creating interpretive displays and other ways of bringing the place, and its stories, to life for everyone who comes here. You'll encourage visitors to take a closer look at landscapes and architecture cared for by the Trust. Your role will lead on programmes and some events for visitors, including school holidays, Christmas and new exhibitions or workshops. You will also assist with property marketing, including social media and on-site marketing materials.
