Field Service Weighing Engineer
Location : South East
Salary : £35,000 - £40,000 + door to door + overtime
Are you a skilled and self‑motivated engineer looking for a varied and rewarding field role? Join a leading provider of industrial weighing and process control systems as a Field Service Engineer.
In this role, you’ll be home‑based and travel to customer sites across the UK to carry out the calibration, commissioning, and repair of on‑site weighing and process systems. You’ll use your technical expertise to ensure equipment is performing to the highest standards — and receive additional training to broaden your knowledge across a full product range, including beltweigher and boiler leak detection systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out pre‑scheduled calibrations, breakdowns, and commissioning of on‑site process weighing systems
* Calibrate temperature controllers & probes, pressure gauges, pH & conductivity probes
* Install and calibrate in‑line belt weighing and boiler leak detection systems
* Undertake off‑site repairs of scales and balances
* Prepare service call reports and calibration certificates before leaving site
* Ensure all work complies with company HSE policies and procedures
* Attend company headquarters periodically for training and assistance with assembly / testing
* Participate in weekend site work on a one‑in‑three Saturday rota
* Work independently or alongside other engineers as required
* Stay overnight on occasion when site work requires it
* Perform any other reasonable duties in support of the service engineering function
About You
* Motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
* Strong technical background in calibration, commissioning, or field service work
* Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight
* Excellent communication and reporting skills
* Full UK driving licence required
