You will join a successful international insurance company who specialise in commercial insurance and reinsurance products. My client is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their Finance team. In this role, you will assist BAU reporting of the business on a US GAAP basis, including affiliate reporting, variance analysis, plan analysis and reserving analysis. The team are looking for someone with strong accounting operations experience.
Main responsibilities:
* Prepare/assist with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements
* Work closely with departments to ensure appropriate data is available and readily accessible in order to understand, calculate and appropriately account for specific insurance transactions
* Confidence and ability to discuss complicated process flows with various stakeholders
* Assist with various reinsurance regulatory requirements
* Assist in the Annual Plan and Reforecast utilising knowledge of underlying transactions

Requirements:
* Strong data manipulation skills (Advanced Excel) – dealing with very large datasets, un-reliant data and data manipulation
* Strong accounting operations experience
* Analytical with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Financial and management reporting experience
* Financial services/insurance industry background
* Knowledge and experience of insurance accounting under US GAAP (preferred)
