Woking Salvation Army is a vibrant church in Surrey, expanding its children’s (including youth) and families ministries to the local community. We are recruiting a motivated and experienced children’s and families leader to join our friendly team.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the children, youth and families’ ministry at Woking Salvation Army
* Develop the youth and children’s outreach and discipleship activities
* Grow the children and youth ministry in an innovative way that positively impacts young people’s relationships with Jesus and leads to a growth in families regularly attending Sunday worship.
The successful applicant will have
* Experience of organising community activities for a range of different programme participants
* Ability to prioritise, organise and manage your own workload to meet objectives
* Good communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, programme participants and external stakeholders
* A good level of English - both spoken and written - and numeracy at GCSE level or equivalent
* Experience of working with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and email programmes
* Awareness of relevant safeguarding matters
You may have
* A valid first aid certificate
* A recognised qualification in Christian Ministry
* Ability to analyse and develop improved ways of working
