Job Description
£15.50 to £16.50 per hour. Full time and permanent.
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including steel sections and sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate components and assemblies from various materials, primarily sheet metal.
* Operate power tools and hand tools effectively to perform welding tasks.
* Assemble parts and structures according to specifications and drawings.
* Perform stick welding and other welding techniques as required.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency in fabrication tasks.
* Utilise basic maths skills to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately.

Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with steel sections and sheet metal.
* Proficient in using power tools and hand tools related to fabrication work.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficient and experienced with MIG welding techniques and TIG welding is highly desirable.
* Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
